broomleigh youngsters net a day at the
palace
Nineteen football mad youngsters are set to
be rewarded for their Broomleigh tournament triumph by a visit to
Selhurst Park tomorrow (Thursday October 28).
The three winning teams of Broomleigh's Goal
Grabbers 2004 will be given a private guided tour of the Crystal
Palace stadium, where they will be presented with their trophies.
The lucky players from Petts Wood Falcons, Seymour
Villa FC and Orpington Rovers will be joined by representatives
from the club, Football in the Community and Broomleigh Housing
Association.
"We aim to create long lasting benefits for
our communities through projects such as the Goal Grabbers challenge,
ongoing football training and other sports projects across the London
Borough of Bromley," said Broomleigh's Liz Chambers.
"Broomleigh and Crystal Palace Football in the
Community will be building on the success of Goal Grabbers by running
training sessions on several Broomleigh estates.
"These will begin in November 2004 and will
run for six weeks for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 16,"
she added.
