Priory paintings go public
Broomleigh Housing Association is proudly exhibiting artwork created by students of The Priory School, Orpington.
Approximately 4000 visitors to Broomleigh’s offices in Ravensquay Business Centre, Orpington will get to view the artwork over the next few months. The idea came about when staff at Broomleigh wanted to lighten up the plain walls inside the entrance and stairwell areas.
“ It was the perfect opportunity to work with The Priory School. We get the pleasure of brightening up our office and students from the school are given the opportunity to hang some of their art in public ” said Grant Blowers, Community Projects Officer.
“ The school should be proud of their talented students. Some staff have offered to buy some of the work, and were surprised when they found out that young people from years 8 to 12 had done the paintings ,” he added.
