leasehold services
selling your home
When you sell your flat you do not end your lease with us but transfer the lease to the new owner.
You do not need our permission to sell your flat but your service charge account must be clear. Your solicitors will usually make enquiries about the building, the lease and the service charges to send to your purchasers solicitors. We charge an administration fee of £176.25 for supplying this information.
Under the terms of your lease you must let us have a copy of the legal document which transfers the lease once you have sold it. Until we are notified in writing, demands for service charges and ground rents will be sent to you for payment. We charge an administration fee of £76.38 for dealing with this notice.
If you bought your property under the “Right To Buy” scheme then if you sell within three years (or 5 years is brought after 15 January 2005) you will be liable to pay back to us some of the discount you were given.
If you have any further queries please contact us by telephoning 0208 313 3310.
